Welcome to Kauai Hawaii -
A Beautiful Place to Vacation
The most difficult thing about a visit to Kauai is knowing where to start having fun once you get
here. Start by checking out the numerous outdoor sports, Kauai activities, and Kauai hotels that
are available on the island.
Kauai is truly a spectacle of nature's power. From the lush tropical gardens and cascading
waterfalls. To the panoramic views of the sparkling blue ocean and majestic mountains, Kauai is
truly a paradise to be explored. A breathtaking mountain range towering at over 5,000 feet emerges
from the island's center along a great chasm named The Waimea Canyon. Kauai also has beautiful
weather with an average temperature of 81°F in the daytime and a lovely 69°F once the sun goes down.
Some of Hawaii's best helicopter rides are found on Kauai. What puts all these helicopter rides in a class
above those you might play elsewhere, is their location. Most come with an inspiring ocean view or
spectacular mountain backdrop. The beauty you can see from above is spectaular!
One greatests way to explore Kauai by taking horseback ride. There are scenic trails that follow along the
coast. Trips up Hanalei Valley, a place that hasn't changed much in the past one thousand years.
Other trails take you to Haupu Valley, along the beach and past the coves of Mahaulepu Beach, or
down into Waimea Canyon, known as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific."
Kauai is a popular spot for both freshwater and saltwater anglers. Marlin, ahi, ono, and aku are
found in abundance off Kauai's south and east coasts. There also are sailing trips available that will carry you near the private island of Niihau for giant tuna and marlin.
Suprisingly only about 10 percent of the island of Kauai is accessible by road. That's great news
if you enjoy hiking and guided tours, because it means there's a lot of island out there waiting to be explored on
foot.
Anini Beach Park and Kalapaki Beach are both good places for windsurfing. On the south coast, Poipu
Beach is also an excellent choice. .
Great diving and snokeling spots in Kauai are found along the southern shore because waters are calmer. The water
is clear, with visibility averaging about 50 feet, and sea life is abundant, so don't forget your
snorkel!
